So today’s lessons did not go well. Yesterday however, I got some rave reviews. I came home yesterday feeling energised and so ready to start the profession; but now I just feel like I’m going to be a poor teacher again. Maybe the problem is I over analyse myself too much after each day.
Reflection on each lesson is important, but maybe I’m putting too much pressure on every single day? Should I cut myself some slack and just assume that some lessons are going to be crap, the students won’t be interested, I just can’t get them to do the work, or God forbid, I teach them the wrong thing? Maybe my biggest problem is consistency. I can’t keep the flow of a topic going smoothly from one area of study to another.
